As we know, last year was a monumental one for women’s sport in the UK. 2017 saw England’s women claim their fourth Cricket World Cup as well as finish runners up in the Rugby World Cup. And it wasn’t just on the field where progress was made. A BBC study found that 83% of all sports now pay their athletes equally. But, in the biggest sport of them all, football, the gap in pay is bigger than ever.
